It is important to remember that a credit note only returns the stock. A debit note needs to be created as well on that sale to return the Money.
If the client bought on their client file:
Go to the Client File >> On the SALES tab select the transaction you want to credit. if there is a list of products, select the product and quantity/ or select "Full invoice". Then select the payment and issue a debit note.

If the sale was processed through CASH SALES
Go to the SALES tab >> SALES EXPLORER >> on the sales explorer window search/select the transaction you want to credit. if there is a list of products, select the product/s and quantity or select "Full invoice". Then select the payment and issue a debit note.
