Mail Merge - why do we have the RANGE option?

Q: After i have done my search within the mail merge screen and selected the EMAIL option. A pop up window appears that says "EMAIL RANGES". what is this screen for? how does it work?

A: it is to break up your sending quantity of emails. Some email hosting companies has limits on the amount of Emails that may be sent out at a time from one IP address. To prevent half of your mails being undelivered, confirm with your email hosting company what is your limit. you can google it as well.

If you know what are the maximum emails that can be sent out at a time, you can implement it on the range screen. E.g. if your limit is 120 emails. then you would simply see what is the total emails you have currently searched e.g. 240 (see total emails on the EMAIL RANGE window). insert from (incl) 1     To (incl) 120 and OK. When emails are sent, select EMAIL again, the range window will appear as well. Now  insert From (incl) 121   To (incl) 240.
